Meal Plan for March: Week 4

IMG_1316 We had a ball outside in the warm, almost hot weather last week! It looks like it will be another unseasonably warm week coming up so we’ll again be spending plenty of time outside. We’re supposed to be getting a load of dirt to fill our raised garden bed and I’m excited to plant some lettuce and peas!

With how warm it is I’ve been trying to adjust to warm weather cooking again. I’m used to preparing lots of soup, chili and other comfort foods and I’m having a hard time making the switch as fast as the weather has changed.

Also, I can’t help but mention that in another month we should have a central heat and air conditioning system installed in our house! I absolutely cannot wait! I’m not a fan of hot weather (I really do try not to whine too much about it!), and it gets so hot and muggy here in middle Tennessee. Even with a central A/C system it would be nice to keep the cooking heat outside on a grill, which we will hopefully have one day this summer.

Here’s what we’ll be eating this week:

Breakfast

  • Yogurt and granola x3 (of course!)
  • Scrambled eggs and oranges x2
  • Baked oatmeal and smoothies x2

Lunch

  • Leftovers x4
  • Salad with chicken x2
  • Quesadillas

Supper
